Biggest Weight Loser Challenge - India
Obesity and overweight are major global health challenges caused largely by sedentary lifestyles and overeating, leading to conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, cancer, and other lifestyle disorders.
Over 70% of the urban Indian population is overweight or obese. Across India, obesity (BMI above 25) affects 22% of men and 24% of women. Telangana has one of the highest prevalence rates in South India, with 36% of women and 31% of men affected. India currently has over 200 million overweight or obese individuals, ranking third worldwide after the USA and China.
To address this growing concern in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, ActiveLife and LIV Life Hospitals have launched a scientifically guided weight loss challenge focused on safe and sustainable results. The initiative is supported by the proven experience of Professor Adrian Kennedy, who has successfully led similar programs in the UAE from 2019 to 2024.
